WHAT IS THE GAME PLAN?

HOW TO PLAY...

Beginning September 14, register for Punt, Pass & READ!!! at the library. Choose your favorite local high school team, check out books from either Bradshaw Library or LaFayette Pilot Public Library and begin reading. List the title of each book you have read on your reading log (available at the library.) When you return your books, be sure to stop at the circulation desk, and let a library staff member     record the number of books that you have read.

 

HOW TO SCORE…

INDIVIDUAL READING INCENTIVES for…

JUNIOR VARSITY READERS (PRESCHOOL & ELEMENTARY)

25 books-Burger King coupon, 50 books-football water bottle,

                                                               75 books-Papa John’s Pizza coupon, 100 books-MVR trophy

 

VARSITY READERS (4th GRADE through 12th GRADE)

   5 books-Burger King coupon, 10 books-Papa John’s Pizza coupon, 15 books-MVR trophy

 

MVR (MOST VALUABLE READERS):

JUNIOR VARISTY READERS — 100 or more books

VARSITY READERS — 15 or more books  

MVRs will be recognized and rewarded.

 

SCORE FOR YOUR SCHOOL: Books read by students will be credited to the school they attend (elementary, middle, or high school). The school with the most books read by November 10 will receive $500 from our sponsors to purchase books for the school library.

 

SCORE FOR YOUR TEAM: Total books credited to your team will determine the winner of the Punt, Pass & READ!!! Bowl. A trophy will be presented to the winning high school at the Tailgate Party.

 

TAILGATE PARTY

All JUNIOR VARSITY READERS who read 25 books or more and VARSITY READERS who read 5 or more books will be invited to the TAILGATE PARTY on NOVEMBER 17.  Winners of the SCHOOL READ and TEAM READ will be announced at the Tailgate Party.
