America’s GenealogyBank/America’s Newspapers databases are now available to search from a library/archives computer or from home with your library card number. America’s Genealogy searches over four centuries of newspapers, books and documents including 23 million obituaries. America’s Newspapers includes the Valley Times News back to 1999 along with many other newspapers from around the United States.
Loose Papers Project 1832 – 1915: This is a collection of 122 rolls of microfilmed documents housed at the Chambers County Courthouse. Records in the Loose Papers Project are estate and marriage records including African-American records. The documents were prepared for microfilming by volunteers from the Chattahoochee Valley Historical Society. The microfiliming was completed by the Church of Latter Day Saints in Salt Lake City, Utah.

LaFayette Sun Abstracts: Glenda Brack has transcribed selected entries from the LaFayette Sun newspaper from 1884, 1892-1893, 1896, 1898, Aug 1900-1906. The transcriptions are indexed and provide a glimpse into daily life in Chambers County. The transcriptions are bound and available for use in the Archives. Chambers County Church Minutes: Glenda Brack has also transcribed and indexed records from the following Chambers County churches: Antioch Baptist Church 1835-1912; First United Methodist Church of LaFayette 1844-1940; First Baptish Church of LaFayette 1854-1927; Baptist Church of Christ, Mt Zion 1892-1963; County Line Baptist Church (Dudleyville) 1835-1919; Mt Pisgah Primitive Baptist Church 1837-1942; and Macedonia Primitive Baptist Church 1835-1935.
